Welcome to Chestnut House Day Nursery, Saughall, Chester

Established in 1984, we have been providing quality childcare in Saughall, Chester for nearly 30 years.

In 2004 the nursery was taken over by Jason Ashcroft, and following an extensive redevelopment project is now the premier childcare facility in the area.

Set in over an acre of  beautiful gardens, Chestnut House provides everything your child needs to develop, in a naturally warm and homely environment.

Chestnut House itself is a converted farm, which dates back over 500 years!!

The Nursery can accommodate 82 Children at any one time, with space for a further 30 Before and After School club based upstairs.

Services

We operate a Before and After School service for children of local schools to Saughall, as well as a holiday club for when the schools break up. This service includes the delivery of children to their respective schools, collecting them, and looking after them until you are ready to pick up from Chestnut House.

After school care is a time for the children to unwind from school, choosing between a quiet area for reading and homework, art & craft activities, DVD’s, various  games, puzzles and outdoor play, all supervised by staff who are based specifically in our After school club. A light tea and drinks are provided on returning from school.

Activities at Chestnut House Day Nursery

Chester Day NurseryAs well as learning and playing indoors at Chestnut House, we take full advantage of our spacious outdoor garden to stretch our imagination and our legs!

Outdoors, we can run around, play on the bikes & scooters, chalk on the pavement, get muddy in winter in our wellies, and get wet in the summer in our swimwear and paddling pool!

Indoors or out, your child will be involved with sand & water play, building & construction, cooking, dancing, music, painting, dressing up, to name but a few…our pre-school children also participate in learning French.

STAFF

Our excellent staff ratio ensure that your children’s needs are met and that the daily organisation of the rooms, run smoothly.

Staff are chosen based on experience, training and most importantly, have an enthusiastic and caring approach to childcare.

Each member has undergone strict checks to ensure suitability. In addition, staff attend training courses, as part of our ongoing commitment to further development.
